Oscuro Kitchen
The Oscuro Kitchen flips expectations by going against the grain, showing how colors in a room come together to create an excellent design. In most kitchens, the perimeter cabinets are light and the island cabinets are dark, because dark cabinets make spaces appear smaller. But here, space wasn’t an issue. The island is a multi-tiered white surrounded by the dark perimeter cabinets. The white on the island is carried through the moldings and the Crawford ceilings. The Oscuro Mist Satin Granite contains black and white elements, which are carried out throughout the entirety of the kitchen. The granite contrasts to the dark perimeter cabinets, enhancing the colors. The backsplash brings out the brown tones out of the cabinets, and blends it with the granite's grayer black tones.
