This impressive U-shaped kitchen has many different elements. The designer did a fantastic job with giving this kitchen a casual European feel with a splash of elegance. The use of two different marbles in this room is what ties all of the dark and light colors together. The exotic Grigio Armani perimeter countertops are a beautiful contrast to the white cabinets, and tie in the dark center island. The use of the Calacatta marble on the large center island helps to brighten up the space. By using the dark tones on the island, hardware, and countertops, the moldings around the windows are accentuated as well. Even the floors play a big part in helping the flow of color through the room. The colors in the backsplash and range hood are carried down into the floor. This kitchen has an excellent balance of light and dark contrast.
