Growing up, I didn’t realize there were brands of faucets other than Delta. Every faucet in my childhood home’s kitchen and bathroom bore the brand name. Even today, when I think of a faucet brand, I immediately think of Delta.
That may be because Delta Faucet, “America’s Faucet Innovation Leader,” has been manufacturing faucets for commercial and residential use for over 60 years. They broke onto the scene in the 1950s with the world’s first single-handled ball-valve faucet. Since then, Delta has taken their role as an industry leader in technology and quality to heart.
To learn more about Delta, including their emerging technologies and product offerings, we spoke with Carol Anne Kemper from the Delta product management team at the 2018 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Orlando, Florida.
The Delta Faucet Family
First, it’s important to understand the Delta brand. You see, Delta is one of three faucet companies under the Delta Faucet family. Delta is known as the mass market flagship brand that’s omnipresent at mass retailers and showrooms across North America.
According to Carol Anne, Delta is focused on providing consumers with “purposeful, meaningful innovations to help you in your own home.”
In addition to Delta, there’s Brizo, sold only through showrooms, and Peerless, a competitively-priced product line.
Everything made under the Delta Faucet umbrella, including the Brizo and Peerless brands, is assembled in the United States according to the same strict quality standards from the materials down to the finishes.
We spoke with representatives from Brizo and Peerless, so be on the lookout for features on these remarkable companies in the coming weeks.
Faucet Trends at KBIS
Delta is considered one of the must-see booths at KBIS, especially if you’re looking to see the latest and greatest in kitchen and bath faucet trends. Of course, their space didn’t disappoint.
We got a firsthand look at some of Delta’s newest finishes, including matte black, brushed gold, and black stainless. These finishes are a welcome break from the standard stainless we see in most kitchens nowadays. Regardless of what you’re looking for, “We have a number of products at different price points and styles to help everyone meet their budget,” Carol Anne told us.
Carol Anne also shared that Delta received a very positive response from the KBIS audience regarding their retrofit shower products. “It’s a perfect product for remodeling as well as new construction,” she said.
