Hospitality-Driven Looks From DL Couch

Jill Nelson, VP of Product and Marketing at D.L. Couch, discussed the company’s new privacy curtains and wallcoverings at NeoCon.

NeoCon, one of the biggest commercial design shows in the world, hosts over 500 leading manufacturing companies and industry innovators. One such company, D.L. Couch, continues to shine year after year with their array of privacy curtains, wallcoverings, and other interior finishes.

 

D.L. Couch’s new and notable products were on full display and caught the attention of acclaimed designer and owner of Arch-Interiors Design Group, Christopher Grubb. Christopher spent some time talking with Jill Nelson, VP of Product and Marketing at D.L. Couch about the collections they presented at this premier global design event.

Commercial Curtain Products with Residential Appeal

D.L. Couch is a company known for their line of commercial products that you can also use in residential settings. According to Christopher, “People don’t often think about things like privacy curtains in places like hospitals, but these are terrific!”

 

Jill went on to describe their curtains, which the entire team at D.L. Couch is really eager to share with the contract industry. “One of the most exciting things about our new line is the integral mesh, which gives a seamless look.”

Their ample design offerings, which includes interesting patterns like stripes, landscapes, and fabric with textures, are meant to make a statement and feel, as Christopher put it, “spa-like” and adventurous. The digital-looking prints, another standout to Christopher and other NeoCon attendees, resemble art and feature brilliant colors and patterns. “We wanted to create a pattern that drew attention to the graphic inspiration we’re seeing. Plus, when you’re using digital prints, the options are endless,” Jill explained.

 

For places like assisted living facilities, Jill says that they’re bringing a “hospitality-driven look” to the table.

 

On-Trend Wall Coverings

“Here at House Tipster, we cover a lot of trade shows, but your wall coverings really stand out to me,” Christopher told Jill. She then explained that the design team at D.L. Couch spends a lot of time finding inspiration for their embossings and textures from both nature and architecture in their popular lines, including Lanark.

 

The color throughout the wallcovering collections is everything you’d expect from this industry design leader. Christopher couldn’t help but mention the balanced bright and muted colors, which add a great diversification to the line. “Yes, we’re seeing blushed tones and neutral tones with pops of brighter colors such as lime green and yellow. We’re also adding depth with burgundy and reds.”
