LOS ANGELES, CA — House Tipster’s complete coverage of Dwell on Design 2017 began with “Meet the Architects Night” yesterday.
“Meet the Architects Night” is an evening devoted to the dreamers and doers of the 10 homes featured in Dwell on Design’s Home Tours. The event was held in an awesome movie-theatre-like venue in the Pacific Design Center.
Here are some of the people we met during the evening. Their work is featured in the houses on the Home Tours.
Our friends at Minarc (seen above) over in Santa Monica, CA, are some of the most innovative minds in the design world. Principals and Iceland natives Erla Dogg and Tryggvi have perfected the art of contemporary design in homes and businesses in Southern California and beyond (and they have the awards to prove it)!
The homes featured in Dwell on Design’s 2017 Home Tours are one-of-a-kind examples of modern architecture and design. In fact, Dwell hand-selected these houses based on their adherence to the magazine’s ideal standard that ultimately blends livable function with modern design elements.

Hsu McCullough is a full-service architecture firm specializing in custom home design rooted in comfort. Led by principals Peggy Hsu and Chris McCullough (both on the right in above photo), Hsu McCullough creates exceptional places through a collaborative process with their clients.
Architects Sebastian Salvadó (left) and Julie Smith-Clementi (right) view the multidisciplinary design process as an opportunity to create spaces that both engage and inspire the people who inhabit them. Since joining Rios Clementi Hale Studios in 2004 and 1989, respectively, they have been integral in the development of countless award-winning projects.
During this exclusive soiree, the architects, builders, interior designers, and other professionals behind the creation of the homes talked about their work and provided insight into their specific projects.
“Meet the Architects Night” was a great way to get to know the homes on the tour and the minds behind them. It was an exciting can’t-miss event for anyone interested in modern architecture.
