With so much “super cool stuff” on the show floor, NeoCon East shaped up to be a phenomenal gathering of commercial interior design products.

Although NeoCon East is in its 15th year, this exclusive commercial interior design expo and convention is relatively new to Philadelphia. According to Danielle McWilliams, an organizer for the event, “We’re proud to be in Philly for the second year, the city of Brotherly Love.”

This year, NeoCon East has expanded to an impressive 150 exhibitors, including a number of new faces and old friends of the show.

Breaking Down NeoCon East

So, what’s NeoCon East all about? Danielle explained the purpose of the annual event to us.

“NeoCon East is a commercial interiors market. The products here end up in offices, hotels, and the healthcare industry. Everything you see here is ready to spec and bring to market.” Therefore, the audience for an event like NeoCon East tends to be specific, including architects, designers, the media, dealers, facility manager, and other trade professionals. “This is the venue to get the newest products and share them with their teams,” Danielle explained to our House Tipster media team.

In addition to an extensive list of exhibitors, NeoCon East also offers an excellent educational track. Attendees can enjoy 4 keynote speakers and a whopping 25 CEU opportunities. “We have great programming, from wellness to the future of the office, all of which are panel presentations by industry experts,” said Danielle.

Trending Forward

We wondered whether Danielle and her team noticed any new trends here at NeoCon East and a few things have really stuck out to them pre-conference as they began to take inventory of the exhibition booths.

Per Danielle, “A lot of products here are meant for the gig economy.” This growing demographic, which is a shift from the traditional 9-5 office environment, is changing the commercial interior design industry and the proof was there on display at NeoCon East. “It’s all about modular, flexible furniture,” she elaborated.

With so much “super cool stuff on the show floor,” there’s no time to sit around. Danielle directed us to a number of great booths, including MOVI Workspaces.
