With inspiration from the Marble.com Signature Room
If you’re anything like me, then you have a head full of lofty ideas that you’d love to incorporate in your home. All too often as homeowners, we see pictures of our “dream kitchen” or ideal master bathroom sanctuary and think “I just have to have that paint color” or “those cabinets are ideal for my space.”
After all, who wouldn’t want to make their space work better?
But sometimes, it’s mighty hard to visualize all these changes together. Before you know it, you’re second-guessing yourself.
Don’t fall into the trap. Instead, use House Tipster’s technology to help inspire and motivate you to create the home of your dreams. House Tipster’s Virtual Rooms are here to make the design process a whole lot easier for you.
Here’s a bit about my experience using House Tipster for my own interior design.
Choosing a Virtual Room
The first step in choosing a virtual room to model on House Tipster was to head over to the main website: HouseTipster.com. From there, I selected the first option on the orange banner “Virtual Rooms.”
House Tipster currently has 18 virtual rooms to choose from (10 of them being kitchens). However, selecting the Marble.com Signature Room was a no-brainer for me because I’m looking to update my kitchen countertops with a natural stone and the shape of this virtual room matched my current kitchen.
However, the options on the left-hand side of the website also pointed me in the right direction. I wanted a traditional kitchen look, so that’s the option I chose to help narrow down the best virtual room for me.
Bottom Line: Whether you’re interested in visualizing a similar project, or want to tackle another room or rooms of our house, I quickly found that there are numerous options on House Tipster.
Selecting the Options
Once I found the room that most closely resembled my own taste and current layout, I began to design my dream kitchen using the virtual room options.
The Marble.com Signature Room automatically loads to feature dark cabinets and they’re exactly how I envision the ones in my dream kitchen to look like. However, the Bianco Latino granite that also shows automatically was too light for my taste. Luckily, I found the right material, a granite called Niagara Gold. I wanted to see what it looked like next to the dark cabinets, so I clicked on each countertop in the virtual room and selected my new favorite granite! Let me just tell you, it’s a stunning combination.
Then, I slowly worked my way around the room, customizing it to my own personal preferences.
Cabinets: Since the cabinets are one of the main features that caught my eye, I decided to keep them in Maple Wood Espresso- Windsor Door.
Faucet: For some reason, faucets mean a lot to me. I think they can either “dress up” or “dress down” a kitchen, so they’re well worth the investment. The bronze oil arched faucet played off the gold flecks in the Niagara Gold granite, so that was another no-brainer for me.
Appliances: Since color is my life, I always wanted a bright and bold refrigerator. However, after seeing what an apple red fridge looked like next to my timeless and traditional countertops and cabinets, I knew that it just wasn’t going to fly. So, stainless steel it is. And thank goodness I checked or else I would have made a potentially expensive mistake down the road.
And so on and so forth. When all was said and done, I created a masterpiece with custom lighting, a matching backsplash, wall paint, and more.
Bottom Line: Was it hard? No way. Was it fun? You betcha!
Thoughts about the Experience
I was drawn to House Tipster’s website because of all the nifty design tips and home DIY tutorials, but the virtual rooms are what make it truly unique and essential.
I love being able to see exactly what I’ve envisioned in my mind for so long. Now, the moment I decide to pull the trigger and get my new countertops, I know the exact brand and style I want. As a bonus, I can order so many items straight from the House Tipster website.
Don’t wait to try out a virtual room yourself. You won’t ever go anywhere else for design inspiration.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a dream bathroom to design.
